Steven H. Reisberg is an independent arbitrator. After 40 years of practicing law, Steven formed ReisbergADR LLC to focus on serving as an arbitrator and mediator. While in private practice, Steven represented clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of complex commercial disputes, including corporate transactions, licensing agreements, patent disputes and insurance coverage matters.
Steven began his legal career as a law clerk to Judge Edward Weinfeld (S.D.N.Y.). He was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell and Willkie Farr & Gallagher, where he was a member of the litigation and intellectual property groups, becoming a partner in 1991. In 2014, he joined Chaffetz Lindsey LLP, a litigation boutique, where he focused on international arbitration and insurance coverage disputes. In 2021, he retired from Chaffetz Lindsey and formed ReisbergADR LLC.
Steven is a member of the AAA and ICDR arbitration panels, including the panel for complex commercial disputes, the CPR Panels for international arbitration, general commercial disputes, and insurance policyholder coverage disputes. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (U.K.), a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, a member of the International Arbitration Club of New York, and of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He is listed in Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration also a CEDR Accredited Mediator.
Mr. Reisberg received a J.D. degree from New York University School of Law in 1981, where he was the Senior Articles Editor of the New York University Law Review. His academic honors include Order of the Coif, the Paul D. Kaufman Award, the American Judicature Society Prize, and the John Norton Pomeroy Prize. Mr. Reisberg received a Master’s Degree from Columbia University in 1978. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Boston University in 1976, where he was elected to Phi Betta Kappa.
